After the success of Wye and Pie 1 (a small gathering for Wycombites that became a mini-Virginia Waters with people like Bruce coming from London in his Ariel ) Mr Bluesatin - of White Horse notoriety - and myself have decided to instigate Wye and Pie 2.

This will be held at a new and untried venue, which Bluesatin ominously tells me is down a 'dead end lane' It does however have car parking for 50 cars and is by the river. If more than 20 cars look like turning up, I will attempt to warn the pub about our takeover bid.

Details of pub here:

www.pubfoodguide.co.uk/pubs/marlow-spade-oak.htm

Date: Sunday 7th September, 12 midday onwards

All the best and hope to see you there.

Andy, I have been told that the car park is pretty big, so trailer and No6 may not be a problem if you are still scrounging for sponsorship pennies Why bring the trailer, just put a tax disc and some re plates on it like Grant Tuscan does

Look forward to seeing the Tedster and Carolyn (our new neighbour ) too.

Cheers

Cheers for info, Rich

Sounds fine for a motley bunch like us. Don't like The Compleat Angler anyway

You are embarrassing yourself, Buster. It is a shadow of its former self. Ever eaten in The Brasserie recently? I've had better meals at The White Horse, High Wycombe

Now, Le Manoir IS proper bo

Good stuff, people.

Andy - I haven't checked out car park or access myself so can't advise re trailer. Nice thought re showing the car tho'. Maybe see what the response is like - seems like it may be too much effort for this gathering, but perfect for a Virginia Waters one.

Cheers

Matt - maybe we can do a 'Posh Nosh and Pie' at Le Manoir when Ted goes public

GT - dunno what food is like. I imagine they cater for veggies tho'. Bring some Doritos and celery sticks just in case.

Ton - details of pub are at beginning of this thread, as previously pointed out... and many different cars will be in attendance, not just TVRs.

Sheepy - sorry to hear about the poor experience at LM. It is very expensive and a little pretentious, but I had a good meal there a while back - my Mum (who ordered the same as me) didn't have quite as good a meal, which goes to show that consistency and quality don't necessarily go together.

Yup, fun lunchtime - not too packed.

Over by 3.30 though, so sorry to those that were thinking of coming at 4 or later.

Pistonhounds... LOL

PS Never managed to ask how the nurburgring went Carolyn?
