Hi folks

My wedding is fast approaching, and for my stag party I'm organising a karting event at Daytona MK, where we had the PistonHeads karting earlier in the year (see www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?t=5196&f=65&h=0)

In view of the fact that I need a minimum of 20 attendees (max 25) to make this event work, I'm making an open invitation to the male members of PistonHeads (it is a stag party after all!) to join me there.

The event is on Sat 1st June, from 4pm to 6pm, and is taking place at Daytona Milton Keynes (www.daytona.co.uk/milton_keynes.htm) and will take place on the full 1360m international circuit.

Daytona have offered me a 10% discount on race fees for this event (thanks to Tony "loon" Freeman and Lee Jackson of Daytona), so it will be £58.50 per driver. The format is the same as last time - 10 mins practise / qualifying followed by a 40 min sprint race.

If you're interested then please email me as soon as possible. I'll be needing a deposit of £30 as Daytona will be wanting a 50% deposit from me fairly soon. The balance can be paid on the day.

Places are fairly limited - I have 6 confirmed attendees and a further 5 awaiting confirmation already, so let me know as soon as possible.

Ferret boy - you'll be relieved to know that Simon Pullan has already sent his apologies as the GTOs are at Silverstone that day, so will not be able to attend. Your feet are therefore safe this time.

I can't believe there hasn't been any response to this. Has everyone gone off karting or something?

Great news!

Could anyone else who wants to come please PLEASE let me know as soon as possible.
Daytona want a deposit on Tuesday 08/05/02, and if I do not have 20 confirmed drivers by that time then I'll have no choice but to cancel the event, as they will expect me to pay them the cost of 20 drivers regardless of whether we have 5, 10, 15 or 20!

Come on guys, get your skates on. I can't believe how slow the take-up is!

Regards
Jonny no-mates.

Sorry guys, but there has been altogether too much "umm-ing and ahh-ing" and I have had to cancel the event.

Shame on you all!
