Best Ford V8 (re)builder in the UK for De Tomaso Pantera GT5
Discussion
The 351 Cleveland (Q-code) in my De Tomaso Pantera threw its pushrods last year and I am now looking at two options:
- Rebuild current engine
- Install a brand new Windsor (potentially stroked or bored) and rebuild current engine completely stock on engine stand.
Either way I am looking to build a strong, reliable, streetable engine with between 390 and 450 bhp. I am conversing with the company that looks after my car (reputable race prep on top-level classic Jags and Astons) and a UK engine builder (600 builds and no returns to date). Before I pull the trigger on one or the other I wondered whether people might be able to please give me their thoughts on any people that I should have spoken to.
Any tips on Ford engine builds or must do's very much appreciated.
Many thanks,
Tom
