I've had a new clutch fitted as my car was over revving when accelerating. After about 200 miles it started slipping again so the garaged fitted another new clutch under warranty stating that the gear box oil had contaminated the new clutch. After another 200 miles I am getting the same problem again with over revving. Any ideas/opinions on this?

I have no problems changing gear, but sometimes (once or twice a day) get a loud scrapping sound when accelerating/changing gear which I was getting before having a new clutch fitted.

The car has done 90k miles.

Thanks!

Was the gearbox oil leak fixed? You don't say, if not then you already know the answer to your question.
From my understanding there wasn't any leak, they said they had refilled the gear box oil to correct amount, but due to be possible sludge it caused it to overflow.

Was the loud scraping noise issue diagnosed/fixed? If not there could be your answer also.
This couldn't be reproduced when they had the car.

Does it have a cable clutch? Most don't these days, so depends on the car & its age.
Don't know, car is on a 2008 plate

Was the full 3-piece clutch kit changed, just the friction plate, friction plate & driven plate?
The receipt says Replace Clutch Kit

Thanks for your reply
