UEL Header/Manifold on a diesel possible?

Hello everyone.
I know it's a wierd question, but is it possible to have an UEL(unequall length) installment on your diesel engine? The 2008 subaru diesels can have then as far as I know and tbh the uel subaru diesel with the petrol rumble equivalent sounds even better than a merc 420 d or a I6 3.5d from bmw in my ears.
I read somewhere that UEL headers/manifolds (due to the uneven pulses of exhaust, hense most of the rumble from a subi) may cause extra turbo lag and a slower spool.

What are your thoughts on it? Scubis seem to run perfectly fine. I also saw a pd150 diesel engine with the same setup running smooth and sounding like a beast after 1800-2000rpm.

Recently got my hands on a seat leon mk1 110hp tdi engine. I thought about modifying it with an unequall length manifold or a custom exhaust to get a bit of a rumble to at least try to make it sound better.

True, every 4 pot diesel sounds bad to be honest. Adding more cylinders helps though. My point was, if subaru can have a rumble just due to the layout and length of the pipes with their diesel engines, it should be possible to replicate the same results. There is even an uprising of hondas in youtube with uel headers sounding like subbies. I am just asking for your thoughts on a pure engineering level if it would be possible. Not asking for personal opinion if you like the said engine or car or not. Thanks in advance.

According to many subbie specialists the engine has the lowest contribution to the throaty sound, hence why you have an increase in hondas with uel headers sounding like subies until they hit vtec in the rev range. I also stumbled upon a hyundai with a flat 4 sounding just like a subbie due to the uel headers. I guess it's up to getting the right measurements and pairing of the pipes to replicate the sound.

I can understand why people are not so positive regarding the sporty potential of diesels, but after yers of driving both petrols and diesels, yes petrols are a lot of fun, but diesels don't come short. Yes they sound like a truck and yes they are much durtier than petrols but it's a great alternative to explore. Also being a bit chepaer and easier to tune (up to a point) also is to my liking.

In my country I have not heard of anyone doing this type of custom fabrication work so I might try to do it myself. Just wanted to check for second opinions if it will be a bad idea towards the engine working properly.

My idea is for sound only. Might as well try to get my hands on a uel or make it myself and then along with a small remap to tinker with the power and fuel consumption (need to reduce black smoke and maybe try to better the fuel economy) and tune it with the pulses in mind. The car will be a daily driver and by no means a weekend funbag. At least not yet.
