Suzuki Swift Clutch

My daughters 06 Swift has done just over 80000 miles, there is a far bit of noise which goes away when you press the clutch pedal and sometimes it can be a job and a bit balky when you Put in 1st gear and change on the move, are these signs of the clutch needing to be replaced? or a gearbox problem?

Oh,it could be something simple like the clutch or expensive like the gearbox?
