This tool won't be used often unless I make a proper cats ass of the engine work I'm doing
It looks cheap and cheerful to me but?

Ok, me learning to use a Picoscope would be like a Prostitute learning to use a Multimeter plus this is hopefully a one off test on an out of vehicle engine

^ This. It doesn't have a makers name to be comparing anyhow....
As long as it gives repetitive results it'll be ok, it's not a highly precise test anyhow.
Stupid me, I didn't even consider there was no ID on it

That,s it then, you have both convinced me to order it as it will work

Thanks, have a good day

Thank you very much for the information, if needed I can make something up to achieve that leakage test with the gauge from the compression tester or a n other that a friend may have lying around

Have a good day

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaargh! Kit in a Red Box!
Red in Chonese culture signifies Good Luck, and ye gods do you need it.

See: http://sideways-technologies.co.uk/forums/index.ph... for an appreciatin of exactly the same kit. Quote, " I paid less than 10 quid. If I throw away all the rubbish parts I will have nothing left."

John

I paid less than 10 quid. If I throw away all the rubbish parts I will have nothing left.

Just read the text on the box again; second line..

The check valve is crap. the second time I looked at the gauge and recorded the peak as the peak is higher than the stored reading.

I will see if I can check the gauge tomorrow, but in any case, I have a delta between cylinders, which is not good.

Still got my celestial flow meter and compressor to test. That came in a nice red bubble box too

Thanks for the confidence booster
