Diesel Particulate Filter

Hi,

I have an Audi A5 2.7 TDI which has gone into limp mode due to a particulate filter fault.
An AA technician could not clear the fault code which meant he could not get it to regenerate.
Would it be possible to clean the filter enough to clear the error by running it at max revs when stationary and still in limp mode, it will currently get to about 3800 rpm?
