MK3 Mondeo 2.0 TDCI, Flashing Glow Plug Light and P1000 Code

Hello, Fairly new to this especially diesels and turbos but my mondeo has encountered a problem that is a real pain as i need it for work. I was driving home yesterday and the glow plug light began flashing and i lost power to the point the turbo will no longer boost. I pulled over and read the codes and got a P1000 code i thought maybe just a malfunction and restarted it and it ran fine for 30 secs to a minute. I am thinking maybe a EGR issue or CAT issue but im not any mechanic and dont want to start throwing parts at it until im in more then its worth.

I had a look at it today and removed a boost pipe from the EGR and it ran fine but about 30 secs to a minute after the pipe was reattached it went again. I didnt want to drive it with the boost pipe missing as im a little concerned it will overboost as i dont know much about diesel engines.

If anyone could make any suggestions or confirm my thoughts about it being the EGR i would really appreciate it.

Sounds promising the arm still moves fine and i can get the usual coos and stuff from it when it idles and works but ill look into it and the work required to replace it. Thank you

After closer inspection the arm moves freely fairly certain ive had it then and the turbo veins are loaded. Whats the best fix for this new turbo?

Decided that as of tomorrow im checking all basics first so cleaning EGR checking it moves freely, checking all boost pipes again and i better inspection on the arm after that im a little lost so fingers crossed its not veins or worse. If anyone can think of anything that might be simple but easy please let me know

When removed the rod from the actuator the rod moved completely freely in all directions however with some research i have heard turbo actuators can click when broken and i am getting a fair bit of clicking

EDIT: For those following i think i have found the problem, the rod moves freely and theres no resistance so based on my research leaves me to beleive the turbo veins are okay however the actuator its self acts unpredictabe and opens fine to begin with then closes again causing the flashing glow plug light, i have arranged to buy a new one and will be collecting it today ill update my findings.
