Im considering fitting a Ford Mondeo Duratec V6 into a rear drive car. The conversion for the 4 cyl duratec and zetec engine is fairly straight forward, but no I have spoken to so far has any experience of the V6. Anyone out there know what the gear box/ starter motor and clutch options are!! Tegs

The V6 Duratec is a mazda derived lump and will not fit direct to a MT box.It might fit the same bellhousing as the 2 ltr Duratec, which are made for Raceline to fit the type9 box.Best to speak to them.

Thanks for the lead Justin I will email Raceline and ask. I guess the other open question is if there is mazda RWD box that will do the job and be a lot cheaper.

I did consider the Cossie V6 but the cast iron block adds a bit too much weight for my liking.
I guess me best bet would be to go down my local scrappy and see if they will let me do pick and mix (duratecs are two a penny at the moment).
