Anyone got any Idea how to do this?

I've looked at the haynes manual but it makes it about as clear a murky water.

Cheers
Stuart!

Must...fight...urge...aaaaaarrrrrrrrrggggggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!

Oh B*ll*ks. Now you've gone and done it. All I can say is am I glad I don't make huge amounts of money or I would have a Kent Fast Road cam in the thing.

Hhmmmmmmmmmmmmmm, fast road cam, hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.

It has to be the cam thinking about it. The oil is correct and is changed every 6000 miles, when I replaced the rocker cover gasket I had a look at the rockers and they seemed pretty clean, about as dirty as expected and no clogging anywhere around them but the noise was as bad as ever. Hmmmm, now where did I put that Burton Power Catalogue...

Stuff that.

£500 for a Fast Road Cam kit! Not a chance!

+ Another £150+ for uprated Discs and Pads then another £x for Braided hoses and then having them fitted and I'm getting close to £1000.

The Cars only worth £600!

But on the other hand....more power, better cam shaft, more power...power...power...power...power...power. DOH!

Erm, I've had to E-mail BP in Kent about this one as it has confused me immensly over the last 10 months.
My car has a carb, but my car is also Injection
Turns out it uses the Weber CFi system, which is a carb and injection combined, how it works I have no idea, and I have no wish to know the ins and out, what I do know is that the air filtration system is that of a Carb, and the Intake Manifold has features of an Injection engine.
I spoke to BP about this a few months ago and they said a Fast Road Cam Kit for it, due to the nature of the engine was roughly £500.

Whoever invented the car needs to be shot

Paceracing said:I don't know if it's of any use to you, but I have a standard vacuum carb / manifold and air filter box kicking around in the back of the garage which will bolt straight on to the CVH as it came off a 1988 XR2 1.6. You can have it for £20 + postage if you want......

Jas.

Sounds like an easy enough thing to do. Can I think about it. What with soaring insurance costs et al...

OK, Jas, it's a deal. You should have mail some point in the next three days

Edited to add the smileys as without them the humour in the post is lost completely
