Audi A4 1.8t boost control

Is there any way of getting more boost from a 1.8t Audi A4 without getting the car chipped? The A4 doesn't use a MAP sensor to measure boost, it works out boost via the air mass meter so as far as I know I can't play with the air mass signal to gain boost.... Also if I was to add a manual boost controller the the ecu would see an overboost and go into limp. Any ideas??

I know the N75 valve can spool the turbo up quicker, but I'm not so sure it can increase boost. If I was to fit a manual boost controller and up the boost by any amount worth having then the ECU will deffo go into limp. The car is a 1.8t quattro I don't want to get it remapped, I just want to experiment with it.
