Ok, here's the deal. I'm (further) modding the airbox on my TLR and now have a choice to stick with the standard(ish) flat panel filter element that effectively bisects the box horizontally with intakes sharing the void below (except it's now foam media rather than paper) or run individual foam 'pod' filters over each bellmouth (which would be better in terms of simplicity and longevity as it kills filter elements). The total surface area doesn't differ greatly between the two methods BUT I have doubts whether the pod option will flow as well given the uneven intake pulses of a v-twin mean each cylinder will have the benefit of the full panel in turn whereas, with the pods, each cylinder will only flow to the maximum capacity of the dedicated filter serving it.

Views/experience?
