Purchase advice please

Good morning all, I'm new to this forum and hope that I can glean some advice on the purchase of a 4.2 Maserati GT.
It's a 2010 model with medium mileage (40k) and on offer through a non-franchise showroom for just under £39,000.
Having never owned one of these beauties, do you have any advice on what to look out for and what to ask the
seller? I'm not talking about the obvious like interior finish, bodywork condition or state of the tyres, just what to beware of.
The seller states that it has full Maserati dealer service history so if that's true, I would feel happier, especially
if there is a paperwork covenance to back it up.

One last question: Do I need to worry about variators on the 4.7 engine?
Maybe a stupid question but please help a Masser novice!!

Hmm.....lovely looking car but not too sure about those seats to be honest.
Will keep looking though.
