Tapping sound - QP 2013 3.0S

I have just bought a 2013 QP 3.0s. It's lovely but it does have an irritating tapping sound from under the bonnet at low revs. I spoke to Maserati and they said it's the injection system. Does this sound right? Does anyone else have a similar noise (assuming experience of the same model of course)? Just seeking reassurance really as I know nothing about Maseratis.
