Hi all,
Last week I bought a monaro, it was previously owned by a member of this forum.

Ive given the wheels a change of colour, sorted the brakes as the car had had little use and the AP discs had rusted badly and the pads had glazed over.

Does anyone know if C5 Corvette engine covers will fit? OR will it need a fitting kit?
I hate the standard cover!
Also if I replace the wheels with more 18" what offset can I get away with?
Thanks for looking

Thanks for garage comments! It's my hide out.,,

Today fitted smaller size front plate and drove it! I think the front discs are fubar! They are AP six pots, does anyone know which Range Rover discs fit with the AP kit

Thanks James! The car isn't lowered but i will be ordering wheels from local firm so they can be responsible for the fit. Today though the original wheels are growing on me.......ish

Anyway.... I've ordered Range Rover discs to replace the Fubar AP's. Taken advantage of front wheels being off to have a deep clean under the arches.
See sideways pic below

Range Rover disc job done! Not quite as easy as I thought but well worth it! If only to save £350!! Over the AP

They are part number MDC1941. They are 360x30mm rather than 362x32. This isn't a problem and pad still make full contact.
The issue is that you need to make a centre Spiggot to fit between the hub And the disc (71.5mm to just a thou under 79mm and 7mm thick) I also made a set of ten spacers to slide over the 12mm studs to take them to 16mm of the Range Rover
Another potential issue is the mounting surface is 2mm thinner than the AP so if your wheels are close it could make it worse. I Had a pair of 3mm so popped them on until I get new wheels

At the moment I'm just thrilled to be able to stop without the wheel shaking out of my hand! Seems fine,. obviously you could opt for cross drilled/groved RR Discs for a little more ££

They are 18x8" trial fitted one with et45 on front, lots more room around AP's than standard rims. Going to try a 40 ish offset on rear to help it fill the rear arches a bit more.
Company supplying have been very helpfull

Just a spot of de-vauxhalling today, once the new wheels go on it will only be the sill cap badges and the engine cover.

Was considering Corvette engine covers but quite like the metal coil covers I've seen on eBay for a more retro look, anyone ever fitted them?

New rims fitted. 8x18 et35 all round with 235/40/18. No rubbing, clears Ap's by 20mm!

I'm very happy!!
