MAP Sensor Problems
Discussion
I'm at the end of my tether with this thing right now. So at the weekend there I replaced the clutch and flywheel, everything was fine until I got back in the car and started it up. The EML went on and the Traction Control was off, I scanned the code with EFI Live and P0106-00 Manifold Absolute Pressure Sensor Circuit Range/Performance. So I went and had a look at the map sensor and due to it's location (on the back of my FAST intake) the probe part had snapped off in the hole. I bought a second hand map sensor online with the same part number and installed it.
The EML no longer goes on but the Trac Off message is still displayed and the car is over fuelling a touch (smells) and runs a little rough, like it has a small miss now and again. I can't find and pending codes, so I took to logging data but I can't find anything wrong.

Old MAP sensor that snapped.

New MAP sensor that doesn't seem to have helped.
Was I wrong to assume that a MAP sensor with the same PN would work on the car? If anyone is interested in seeing my logged data I can upload it. As it stands I'm not sure what to do next, something is clearly not well, the message saying Trac Off illuminates if there is a sensor fault on start up I've been told. How the hell do I find out what sensor it is?

The code didnt say map sensor....but it pointed in the direction of the map sensor, that isnt quite the same thing.
If the MAP sensor was not clicked into the manifold correctly, that in itself could have skewed any signals enough to generate a fault. But it doesnt mean the sensor itself is faulty ( nor its wiring etc )
Whatever you're using to give codes is steering you in the direction to test, which is anything relating to the MAP sensor...but not necessarily 100% the MAP sensor and nothing else.
And the way to tell is to monitor or test and see if the readings are sensible when driving and/or when the fault actually shows itself.

The map sensor was physically broken so that particular fault made sense as did replacing the sensor to fix it. Right enough the code didn't directly say the map sensor was borked it just said manifold pressure sensor range performance. Now that I have no EML on and I've logged the data I can see the map sensor replacment I bought is working fine and the values are where they should be. The Traction Control being off is what I am fighting with, I can't even get something to point me in the right direction as (right now) I don't know how/if my Efi Live will be able to report back on what the problem is. The logged data I have doesn't show any real problems but the car isn't happy. It's horrible not having any frame of reference to fault find.

Any other engine codes at all? Fuel trim errors?
If not, then you need to interogate the ABS to find out what is going on there.
No other codes, just this "trac off" message. I was told to run a full scan using EFI Live, which I have done but it doesn't mean anything to me tbh. I have also taken some data logging of my car using EFI Live, this logging was taken with the car sitting on my drive from cold. Both of these files can be found here: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/sxogpplso95pplz/AAB8LH_... in case anyone is interested or could potentially have a look.If not, then you need to interogate the ABS to find out what is going on there.
Started to take the intake off as I’m going to move the map sensor to a safer place. I noticed my battery indicator is black (instead of green) , thinking about my trac off issue which has been known be triggered by I flat-ish battery I’m wondering if I may have found a possible culprit. The battery voltage was always good and I’ve never had any issues with it but, the indicator says it’s not happy either.
