So the only good thing for me to come out of the Covid-19 situation is that I have decided to take my HSV VT2 GTRS out of storage (10 years) and put her back on the road.

Who is the go-to garage now for HSV tuning, particularly ECU please?

Can you post a link to the respective garage websites please.

Thanks, It's a LS1 C4B with various upgrades & a Vortech V3 Supercharger with FMIC. 502bhp @ the wheels (Surrey Rolling Road). I didn't have a decent set of 300kW engine covers hence the other cover.

Very nice, I have a new set of 300kW ones now but please let me know the costs privately.

The car originally had a SC fitted by LSV but I personally reworked the entire system as the LSV install wasn't great. I stayed with Vortech but changed to a self contained V3.

No it's very linear power being a centrifugal charger.

I have just checked, I actually put the car in storage shortly after the Dyno Day at Surrey Rolling Road in November 2009 so we may well have crossed paths. She has a whole 25k miles on her now!

Also consider Carl Herkes in Southampton. He has very close links with Luis Sola who can sort out any tuning needs.
Thanks

I have spent the day draining fuel & fluids. New petrol with octane booster. Try to start her and she runs for literally 2 seconds then dies. Someone has suggested the VATS system?

I was under the impression the vts-r had the 3.9 diff as supplied.

I used greg at protuner in coventry for my mapping.

Have you put fresh fuel in the car ? Id be looking at new fuel and then fuel pressure at first, with a lay up of that length.

Great looking example by the way.

No idea on the diff ratio, never looked into it. I know it runs a different diff to the other cars but I can't remember the details.

The car has an uprated fuel system with a swirl pot, 034 fuel pump and adjustable FPR so I would be surprised if it was fuel pressure. I have put new fuel with octane booster in.

Thanks for the kind words.

Cool did you get the heads reworked as well
Sorry missed this, no the C4B heads that were standard on these cars flow better than stock LS1 heads so I stayed with those.

I have kept her for the rarity, she is #2 of 16 that I believe were sold in the UK and I was told 11 years ago there were only 11 still in existence. My uncle had her from new so I am the 2nd owner.

Is she a keeper, who knows.

I genuinely can't remember, they are OZ (according to the centres). I changed them as soon as I got the car. The original wheels are safely stored.

I believe it’s rarer than that.I bought no9 from the importer Rod Clausen brand new in 2001, just before he returned to Oz. I think it may have only been 12 GTS-R VT2’s that came over.

The rarer the better! I know a number were written off and one
was exported and sold at auction in the US or Canada for crazy money. It would be good to know for sure how many were left.
