Ive ordered my Redline oil, pleae could someone explain how to do it?

is just two bolts, one at bottom for draining? and one at top for filling? also do i need it on ramps, or will jacking up with trolley jack be sufficient?

Finally, how much oil does the diff hold?

Cheers caps, only Gavin wasnt 100% sure at Redline, so suggested i double check with the club!

no worries...

Phone Redline again, apparently the oil theyve supplied in the past needed this modifier, but the one they supply now, a 75w90 and have used in other monaros needs no modifier..... mint!!!

Thanks chaps, just need to get it in there now!!

Yes please.. more feedback the better please!

I'm a little concerned over this conflict of views as i dont wanna put the wrong stuff in there!

Ive phoned Gavin back and he assures me hes supplying the right stuff for thr Monaro & i need no modifier? Oil used in the past needed it, but thats why they supply this stuff now??

Had another long chat with Gavin at Redline,

Apparently, the exact specified Diff Oil by the factory for the Monaro is 75w90 as i have ordered. Apparently the thicker oils 'shock proof type' are a racing/competition type oil which by the time you've added enough modifier to stop the clunking are pretty much the same thickness as normal oils.

I was advised by Gavin that yes i can have the 80w140 by all means, but its not whats specified for the Monaros diff by the manufacturer.

All i want to do is silence the constant wine i get at 60-70mph constant speed, apparently my diff oil has broken down and as such the replacement oil should rectify this....

The one thing that confuses me is people talking about locking the diff up on launch and that as standard it doesnt do it?? the diff in my car works beautifully, as two black lines out of a local carpark at weekend will testify? Why should i need a thicker oil and modifier if alls working fine as is?

I dont know.. its all a bit beyond me this!

Confused Mike!?!?
