Morning all,

I had a trip out in the RO on Saturday but found that my aircon was dead on turning it on. No cold air at all. Worryingly I had the whole system re-gassed last year and it was ice cold. So that leads me to think that maybe the pump has failed. If so, does anyone know how much a new pump is and if so do I need a breakers or are these available from say a Rock Auto?

Also anyone know where I can get some replacement wheel stud caps (the chrome ones)?

I have a mate that works in the trade so I will get him to take a look. Just odd that after having the whole thing pressure tested and re-gassed last year, it's not working. I will get it checked out

Have you checked for leaks in the system?

No not as yet. That's next after i've checked the fuse. Cheers for the ebay link!

One common reason for the a/c not working is because the system has a leak.
When I bought mine in 2018, the a/c didn't work. I had it re-gassed, it passed the vacuum leak test and it worked for a week then stopped again. Turns out I had a small leak on the pipe that runs on the chassis rail on the n/s. On my car it was under the expansion tank and air filter assembly.
My local garage chopped out the offending section and put a new piece in, it has worked and held gas ever since.
IIRC, after doing much forum searching back then, this is a common place for the Monaro to develop a leak on the system. Worth a look.
Cheers all. I will get them to have a look there. I am tended to think that the system has a leak and there is no gas to keep it cold now!
