Would these LED's fit a Tamora for brake lights?
Discussion
I notice a lot of more modern sports cars now have LED lights, and I think it would make a decent upgrade, but would these fit (the fixings look very similar), and would there be a lot of faffing with wires for them to work?

or is it just a bit 'Chavvy'?

For brake, tail, fog and reverse lights it's easy to just swap them over as the TVR has no CAN bus or bulb warning systems. Only thing you'd need is a resistor if you're doing the blinkers too (otherwise they'll flash fast as if a bulb is out. SVC sell the resistors in a kit with the indicators, or so do maplin etc.
Have you got the link to the Maplin kit? never got round to actually doing mine yet. I think the Kit SVC wanted was £15 if you purchased it with the lightsTBH, I never thought about doing the indicators, too, but just the brake lights - but I get getting them all done at once make more sense, as they'd then look like they all belong, rather than an 'ad-hoc' job.

Another Upgrade!
It really does never end....
OK, so am I correct in thinking that the brake and fog lights can just be wired directly into the existing brake and fog loom, and if indicators are to be fitted, then one of these for each indicator is required?

All of the lights are wired into the existing loom, there is no need for a resistor on each individual indicator unit. The kit from Brendan includes everything needed to get these working.
Where can I find this 'kit from Brendan'?ETA - I don't mind so much upgrades like this - they are quite rare as they don't cost many thousands.....
ETA - 2 - Thanks for the mail Alex, have sent Brendan an email

OK: pair of indicators ordered & 2 sets of red's for the brake/tail lights. Will report back next week when they arrive and I have had chance to fit them. Soon know if they look ste then.

Look forward to the updates! Did you buy any resistors to go with the indicators?Shep

Yes, put them in on bullets for easy removal. Test fit them first as you may need to trim the 3 lugs to get them to sit square with 'TOP' where is should be otherwise you end up covered in silicone...... The indicators should be equally as easy its just what to do with the resistor.
Thank you. I know these are really silly basic questions, but I haven't done anything like this before in my life (and I always seem to waste money getting the wrong stuff..), but which connectors would you recommend and what type of silicone adhesive was used, black, clear etc.?shep1001 said:

There is one upgrade I wish I could have now, and that is, or rather, was the SP (Silverstone Performance) headlight conversion - they were better lights, but the main cover was untouched, thus retaining the original look of the front. It was circa £1k, though, IIRC.....
Fit a set of H4 HID lights. 35W 5K are more than adequate and 100% better than the std candles. Another DIY job that should cost no more than £80-100 all inI found a pic showing the SP Tam with the light conversion (next to my old car):
