My new Sagaris

so, Friday the 11th, a misty morning, out comes the Cerb for its final wash and polish before heading off for the handover later that morning.
The drive from London over to Str8six reminded me what a great car the Cerb is, especially in V8 form. Something about it just suits the car but I can't quite pinpoint what it is. Anyway, this was the view pulling into Weston Road, the pathway to dreams! ha.
Getting closer.....
Got in, signed the paperwork, chatted to Chas and Jason and then went to see the new car which had been brought in while we were doing the handover.
Couldn't quite believe that this was now my car. I mean, those slashes on the bonnet, the exhausts, the fuel cap, the front lights... did I mention the exhausts.! A huge part of a car for me is the visual drama and this is where the Cerb can't touch the Sag in my view.
Utterly immaculate. Like a brand new (TVR!) car inside and out. Str8six are amazing to deal with and their cars are prepared beautifully. I have been lucky enough to have had 3 cars off them over the years and have complete trust in them.
With this car I had not wanted to test drive it before buying. This might seem odd but for me, it only adds to the excitement! Anyway, set off to London pinching myself and by the time I got near the Beaconsfield services I just had to pull in to admire and take it all in. I was grinning like a fool.
First Impressions:
I actually love the S6 engine warming procedure. The involvement, the nursing it up to temp ready to spank it silly. It all adds to the engagement. Also, the attention this car gets is unreal. All really positive so far.
It handles beautifully - very sharp and planted. The most resolved TVR I've driven and it really wants to rev which is a real joy as the S6 sounds fantastic. What I noticed immediately is how much more torque the Sag has over my previous Tuscan and the brakes are immense. I really, really want to take it straight to SPA and hurl it round the track for two days but I just don't think I can do that to this car yet. It is too immaculate. If I win a huge amount of money in the not too distant then no worries but for now...........I'll use my old 996.
Going Forward:
Not much really...will probably get in touch with Shi-Devil and get the carbon pedal box and also look to perhaps get the seat backs colour coded to the exterior. Perhaps an ACT exhaust system too. Nothing major as I want to keep it as stock as possible. I have the Varley bible and Sag indoor cover so all that is left to do is drive it a lot and polish it silly.
Hopefully the weather will be nice for Burghley so looking forward to heading up there for the big day.

Amazing, I was admiring this Sag when dropping my T350T off for its 12k service. Was stunning and it did look as new! I would like to see it again, are you going to Burghley House TVR Club season opener?
Thank you. Re Burghley, yes, really hoping to. Got some family things I need to move around but hopefully the stars will align
