Thanks for your reply, much appreciated.
Aircon is the thing that attracted me to it!!
I’ve got a griff 500 which is fantastic but maybe thinking of a change. Air con would be great and with the targa panels was thinking that this might be the best of both worlds?
I’m assuming you found the right car for you?
If you don’t mind me asking how are you finding it?
Very best regards and keep safe.

Thanks for your reply it is really useful.
It’s a big decision but the more I think about it the more I’m thinking it may be the way forward.
Really interesting that you were in basically the same position as me, very similar car and went through the same process of getting everything sorted. I’m tempted to get aircon retro fitted but I suspect it will still be really hot and I’m ashamed to say I don’t run with the roof off as much as I should.
Thanks for taking the time to reply. I think probably I should have a look at a couple and use the Griff to drive down and back.
I would miss it but can’t help but think a T350 might be more practical if that’s a thing with a TVR?

Many thanks, I will let you know if I take the plunge.
I’m a a bit conflicted as I don’t want to regret moving on from the Griffith as it’s a great car but feel I might use something else more often, and in all honesty I think I would prefer a hard top ( with air con and the targa panels sound a great compromise )
Best regards

Stever - sounds like you are going through exactly the same thought process as me. It’s a nice position to be in but I don’t want to look back and regret it.
I’ve booked the Griff in to sort out the last couple of niggles ( leaking power steering hose at the usual point etc ) and will hopefully make up my mind once that’s done. At least then I can either P/ X or sell privately with a totally sorted car or not.

Pb 450 - that truly is a thing of beauty!!! Ideally I would like to have both, same as Stever but that’s never going to happen.
No wonder you are happy, seeing that makes it even harder to decide. Once my Griff is done in a couple of weeks I’ll start looking.

Very best regards and thanks for your replies.

I have viewed the service history for the car mentioned and it has spent a lot of time in France being serviced by a non TVR garage.
Apparently history is available, but would this put people off?
It’s got me thinking.
Due to the impending lockdown viewing in person is not an option only by video.
I would be interested to know peoples thoughts regards to a car living abroad and then coming back. Does the non TVR history make much of a difference?
Many thanks and best regards.

It’s been serviced since returning to the UK, but was in France for a while.
The only TVRs I have owned ( a few ) have always been specialist serviced every year.
I’d love to think of I would keep my next car for ever but realistically I do go through cars. Just wondering if it would put many people off? As it’s got me pondering.
Maybe luckily I can’t do much at the moment due to the impending lockdown, apart from looking at the pictures!!!!

Really good point regarding further specialist servicing.
I can’t imagine I’ll be able to do anything until December at the earliest as I would want to test drive it which at the moment is not possible.
Definitely food for thought.
Many thanks for your advice.
Very best regards

Your absolutely right, I would need to actually view the car. I’m sure some would be comfortable buying a car on video, but that’s not me.
Funnily enough Rob inspected my Griffith for the last owner 12 years ago when I sold it. From a sellers perspective he was a thoroughly nice guy who was clearly very good at his job.
I’ve since purchased the car back a couple of years ago and thought I’d keep it for ever but I’m thinking of replacing it on my own terms not because we have a second child on the way like last time.
It’s a beautiful thing and it makes me smile every time I get in it but maybe something slightly more practical would be better, if a TVR falls into that category.
Regards to the history of the T350 I Agree the older it gets the less important it’s extended holiday becomes, so that probably isn’t such an issue now.
Roll on December so at least I’ve got the option to view, and see if it’s for me or not.
Very best regards

Another really good point.
I’m definitely going to view when possible and will look into that, thanks,
I seem to remember a while ago a company in Holland sold a fair few TVRs some of which had questionable history ( from memory )
Which didn’t show on our registers.
Best regards.

Hopefully the new owner did the required diligence before buying.
I’ve spoken with the garage regards to the T350t and am going to view as soon as lockdown lets me see it in person

Thanks for all your advice, very much appreciated.
Very best regards and stay safe.

^^^^ thank you, good to hear
I think I spoke with Simon? Very helpful chap who was happy to answer any questions. It’s a shame about the bad timing on my part but will definitely view once possible to view after the lockdown and see if it’s for me.
Thanks for sharing your experience, which makes me feel more at ease with the ‘ French connection. ‘
Very best regards

Thanks for your replies.
Your offer to look your car is very kind and if you don’t mind I may well take you up on it, maybe on the way to the viewing?
For me it’s great that the car is for sale at Fernhurst, as you the cars they have look beautifully prepared and I’m sure the same goes for the T350.
All I can do is sit tight and wait for the lockdown to ease and I’ll make my way down to view. It’s still a big decision as I love the car I’ve already got but once I can drive both back to back hopefully I can decide what to do with no regrets.
Thanks again, have a great weekend.

I know this thread is not regarding my current car but this is it.
It’s a great car but I possibly fancy a change.
Best regards
