I suspect it’s mileage that’s putting people off which is daft really. The engine had the full powers rebuild and I can tell you it cost a hell of a lot more than 3k!! I spent on it what I sold it for 😬. Just hoping to keep track of it as one day I’d quite like it back when I’ve got a garage I can put it in.

I’ve found out where it’s been sold everyone. Thanks for the heads up. Looks like it’s had a lovely respray. Apparently heated seats have been unplugged in favour of fog lights…..a very interesting choice by whoever did that ! Ha.

Amazing. Are they on PH? Be good to speak to them at some stage. Would still love to buy back some day so would just be good to be in touch with whoever has it 👍

Lovely. Winter wheels are intriguing. If you ever bump into them then would love if you could put them in touch. My number is 07877 052062. Glad to hear it’s still doing well

Would anyone be able to do me a massive favour and put a piece of paper through the owners door with my details? Very interested in buying back so would be good to have a dialogue.

Lucy P, thanks so much for your input.

I brought that car back from the dead, engine rebuild, interior retrim, electrics sorted - it was destined for the scrapyard otherwise. Gracefully I’ll locate it without your extremely helpful commentary. Everything is always for sale at a price. The sentimental value this car has to me and my family is worth paying. We bought a house in cornwall using the proceeds when I sold it, but I would like it back. I’ve owned four TVR’s, two of which have been rack and ruin and given a new lease of life through my hard work.

I wasn’t aware the TVR community was so judgemental. Sad, woke, times we live in !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Lucy,

Thanks again for your helpful response.

I owned TVR’s for around a decade and I can honestly say I never came across anyone as judgemental as you have been here.

I’m trying to track down a family treasure, which we have pictures on the wall of (still). If you don’t like that then you are, of course, entitled to your opinion.

If you don’t like my approach then you are clearly totally entitled to this opinion.

I have been in touch with the previous two owners of the car because I’ve been desperately trying to keep track in order to one day purchase it back. Unfortunately I haven’t been in a position to do so until now. At no point did the other owners find it “creepy” or “weird” when I shared pictures with them of the refurb, retrim, engine build, pictures that were used in Sprint magaizine.

The work, and effort, I spent meant this car was one of four in the world of this specification so I don’t really think it’s in appropriate to try to keep track of how it is.

Your engagement here is so disappointing for an TVR owner and I’m actually not sure why you’ve felt the need to get involved.

Sad times when this sort of keyboard warrior attitude is displayed from what used to be such an inclusive membership group.

PS, the fact you think I was expecting someone to stand outside a total stranger’s house delivering a note is LUDICROUS.

What a sad world we now find ourselves in
