Hello!
I noticed a 1 cm gap between the airfilter and the topshell of the box yesterday!!!

Has anybody modified his box to stay closed all around 100%?

I couldn't afford a carbonbox for now, so I have to do some improvements by myself...

Yep, did the same and I hope the engine hasn't sucked dirt allready!
But I need a longterm solution, until I can afford the carbon version...

Maybe two belts around the box?

@plasticman
It's fixed at 2 positions, 2 bolts on the back and one bolt on the front, mounted with a "curved slotted hole" and a long bracket coming from the engine block (I have no A/C!).

no alternative holes, but will try to move the lower shell to the top as far as possible...

@shep
Hmmm, thats a lot and I'm located in Germany - so maybe I have to go to GB for fitting. Thats a project for 2012... :-)

@Pu
it's ok - the carbonbox is the only answer to my question...

@clive
Yes, thats a possibility, but I'm a bit afraid of drilling holes in that shell. It's very thin and weak all around, so I have to strengthen it and then make the holes leak proof!
