Anyone know wher I can get some carpet only floor mats please. I hate the rubber under the pedals as its slippy and is wrecking my shoes

Don't ignore the latest style of official A.M. over-mats as they are now top quality. They used to have a ridged heel pad that ripped, but the new flat pad is far more robust and they look great..... although rather expensive!
Hi Grant, The ones the dealer sent me a picture of still have the rubber under the pedals. Are you saying there is a different version?

Have you heard from Nicholas yet. He is in the US but has been very attentive to my emails. About to send the money.

She does, but only for her own gearknob, which I might add is VASTLY superior to the stupid, shapeless lump of metal thing Aston put in the V12V/DBS.
Oh I like my knob

Each to their own Nick smile It's too large for my delicate hands and looks like a big chunk of metal, there is no finesse to it like the rest of the interior.
Bit like myself reallyrofl

I looked at these and they looked very good quality.

It would be great if you could post a photo up when you get them.
Here you go. Top quality. Don't bother taking the old ones out it's such a shlep. Just pop the new ones on top biggrin

Fantastic mats Nick smile
The best bit is having carpet under the pedals not rubber. The rubber was ruining my shoes. I know I will regret this but I have a bit of a shoe fetish

How are they fixed if you don't remove the old ones? Or are they such a good fit they don't slip??

My rubber pad seems to have got a bit "sticky" under foot so I like the sound of having carpet there instead!
Perfect fit so no slip smile

Hi, Nick,
sorry to bother you but from the thread I eventually could not understand where you bought your nice carpets.
Since here in Luxembourg, it is not so easy to get nice non OEM floor mats, and for a DB9 Volante (LHD) is still more difficult, can you help?
Stefano,

They came from California so I suspect no problem with LHD. These are the guys:-

www.thevantagecollection.com

Good people to deal with. Took around 10 days from order to delivery.

Good luck.

You can have the logo etc and stitching in whatever colour you like. I just went for what matched my trim as can kinda be seen in the pic.

Not cheap at £215.00 + £50.00 shipping but as you know from your wine collection the best is never cheap.

I just hated the rubber under the pedals in the OEM ones grumpy

Imagine picking up a supermodel taking her out on a date in a car with a fire extinguisher.

The conversation would go something like:

Her: "Why is there a fire extinguisher in your car?"
Me: "Oh, that's incase the car spontaneously combusts."
Her: "Stop the car, I'm getting out."

smile
Her: "Why is there a fire extinguisher in your car?"
Me: "Oh, that's the latest sex toy."
Her: "Wicked, lets get involved."
