Come on then - who's going to pick up the baton?

Mikey K did a great job of sorting a Spring meet/run out.

We have taken up the challenge of sorting a Summer version.

Who's going to organise an Astonauts* event in the Autumn?

Time to re-launch this thread - the baton must be passed on! The ball has been sent rolling etc.

Besides, it would be nice to have a little Autumn break to look forward to biggrin

[quote=AMDBSNick]George seems to have taken this O/T by rambling on about his Bacon Buttey run and his obsession with wandering around the globe following a circus. So here goes. A new list begins for the 20th/21st. Just add your name and keep it on topic for Mike's sake biggrin

Morning all I have now spoken to the hotel and the reservation number is
0113 264 1000 at Thorpe Park, to get the room rates all you need to say is ''aston martin'' ( cunning code word .. I thought it up myself ) for October 20th .....
Most of the route is now done and hopefully it will be a dry successful day on the sunday starting at 11 am.
If you want to put a b next to your names when booked that would help
cheers guys

Not again! How many times can the order of jam and cream on a scone be debated on a car forum?!

Call me a savage - I prefer jam first tongue out

Why not just put jam on one half, and cream on the other? Then on assembly you can have it whatever way you want just by turning the scone upside down. Everyone's happy!
nono

Re-assembling is ok if you have a big mouth George but for the more delicately inclined a scone should be eaten as two separate halves. Besides which, that way you get double the pleasure! lick

Typical northern bird rolleyes

biggrin

We'll try it both ways (steady Rob) next weekend and I'll demonstrate the error of your ways!
Gloucestershire born & mostly lived in Herefordshire - when did either of those counties become classed as Northern?!? As a geologist, for some reason, I would have expected your geographic knowledge to have been somewhat better than that! Not that there's anything wrong with being a northerner, bearing in mind our destination this w/end whistle

Scone wars? Bring it on biggrin

Shame you couldn't make it MK. Does the movement of boxes to rooms mean you are no longer a nomad?

We had a good night and have high hopes of a good day today. The mist/fog may hang around for a while unfortunately but at least we have a couple of mobile foghorns with us to let the people of Yorkshire know we are coming wink

Can't wait to get out there and hear Purdey give the residents a wake up call smile

Home safe & happy after another great Astonauts w/end. Thanks to Mike C for all his efforts in putting together a great Autumn run. Great to meet old friends and to make new ones. Haven't had time to go thru' the pics yet but hope to find some worth sharing. Thanks also to Dammit for letting me thru' on the run home - hope Rob managed to get a photo of you.

Here's to the next time - cheers wink
