Apologies Di - bit of a trek that one !!!
Karen and I were just in the process of booking a Feature Room in Hever Castle itself BUT there is no restaurant for dining
Have you, Tony or Tony got any advice on good places, either at Hever or slightly NW of it
Will sort out some suggestions for you Phil. For once I'm not trying to be funny but nice places ain't cheap down here. Wish we weren't away, you could have stayed at ours.Karen and I were just in the process of booking a Feature Room in Hever Castle itself BUT there is no restaurant for dining

Di - the accommodation in Hever Castle itself apparently only opened in March and we can get a Feature room for £160 B&B including Castle entry etc, with breakfast in the Astor Wing.
Karen has noted the pub across the road is owned by the Castle and does good food on the reviews.
Those Southern prices ain't too bad considering there's a venue on the Wirral where footballers pay £65k for a wedding reception
That sounds good Phil. On site as well, I think you should grab it while available. With AM,s coming from all over, rooms might go quick. Lucky no-one else knows of this deal . Karen has noted the pub across the road is owned by the Castle and does good food on the reviews.

Bumped to say, its about 9.40am, Tony's washed the car, bless him, in glorious sun.
Now typing this, the clouds are gathering, but unless its really tipping it down we are still determined to make a pilgrimage to the Woodman.
Will be there from about noon, after I've dried my hair.
Hope someone else is there to chat to.

Karen's doing well Di and managed yesterday without painkillers but back on them today.
Tony will have filled you in that I'm off the red vino for the foreseeable future and onto a strict regime of antacids - bugger !!
Sometimes you just need to slooowww down a bit
Be careful with those tyres on your run out Di. I've heard the rain turns them into hedgefinders
Very wise re tyres, we did 800 miles last weekend only about 100 dry. Pulled out of the hedgerow more times than I can remember. V12V are a magnet for those damn hedges.Tony will have filled you in that I'm off the red vino for the foreseeable future and onto a strict regime of antacids - bugger !!

Perhaps the guy that did that write up was just unlucky, but no need to diss a car based on one unfortunate incident. Respect the car and drive to the conditions.
Tony mentioned your prob, please look after yourself. Can't have you both crocked.
