Wondering if anyone has had similar. I've only had a the car a couple of months (2008 4.3 roadster sportshift) You might be interested that car had new clutch fitted immediately before I bought it (17.5k miles) - after 1000 miles, the new hydraulic release bearing (?) let go big style spraying fluid everywhere, over exhaust (spectacular) & stopping any gearshifts, so basically stalled. AM have just replaced again under parts warranty - that however is an aside.

It lives outside, so gets wet. three or four times I've got in, pulled out the seatbelt only to find it is (literally) dripping wet. I've checked water drains (ex MB SL owner so well versed in that area!) for bootlid & tonneau - all seem to work. Carpet behind driver's seat appears completely dry & no misting up. I wash it regularly & this does not seem to cause any problems. The only set of circumstances is water on bootlid that sheet off when I open it, hence checking the drains but probably a red herring.

The rear park assist went doolally last week - going off with ignition on only (engine off) & making strange noises when driving forward - varied all the time so I took it to the dealer on Friday and of course it wasn't doing it when I got there. However they hooked it up to the diagnostic & told me the module had become a bit insular, ie the car could no longer even see it. Apparently it lives behind the driver's seat (as obviously does the seatbelt), so it's going in next week to diagnose.

I don't believe in that many coincidences, but having just spent an hour with tonneau propped open, peering down where seatbelt reel is, I can see nothing.

So, apologies for lengthy post, but has anyone else experienced similar & if so, how was it diagnosed & cured?

Many thanks in advance
David
