Vantage engine cover sensor

My V12V engine cover sensor is playing up.

If I close the engine cover normally then the dashboard shows the alarm saying that the engine cover is open.
To stop the alarm I need to slam it with quite some force so that the rubber seals go above the lead, and I presume pressure it against some type of sensor or electrical contact.

Does anyone know how to solve this or disable the sensor ? For example is there a fuse i can pull out ?

Well at least I can get it to shut up by slamming the bonnet closed !
Do you know where the sensor is located under the bonnet ?
