Digging around it seems I was missing a battery conditioner when I bought the car (alright - who nicked it!) and my Optimate does not have the cigarette lighter attachment (one on order now).

Better to be safe I thought - I will put the Optimate onto the battery terminals until the accessory arrives.

Looking at the forums someone mentioned that the battery was behind the drivers seat, so I took the rear seat out (easier than I thought), and found the battery, hidden under what looks like military grade aluminium and about 10 bolts. Then you need to take out a further bit of the back seat (needs a bit more commitment as that one is seriously fixed in) and there are another 3 bolts there...

I thought this might help anyone else trying to track their's down.

I suppose its easier than the Tuscan's battery - that one needed the front wheel removing to get to it!

But that would have been too easy ;-)

Thanks - 8Tech is right. The charging point in the boot is the cigarette style and I wanted to get the battery charging whilst I wait for the adapter to arrive.

Might be a silly question (I can ask silly questions right?) but what is it safe to earth the other connector to if you use the + point under the bonnet?
