Has anyone heard of McGurk Cars?
Discussion
There's an Aston for sale that's been sold and looked after by McGurk cars - the seller claims them to be the largest and best Aston independent in the country.
I've googled them - website seems impressive with very impressive stock, but I wanted to know whether anyone has experience with them?
Thanks!

It's between this and a lovely black SL65 which is a bargain price-wise, but the mechanic will soon be telling me whether it's any good.
If not, then I will hope to get to this one in time!
But really, it's a horrible colour so I wouldn't suggest anyone pay it any attention whatsoever.

Looks rather st to me.
The SL65 is probably savage but it's still a Merc with the same boring interior, buy the Aston
Yes, but the MB remaps to close to 700bhp and 1000lb/ft and is literally a bargain! The SL65 is probably savage but it's still a Merc with the same boring interior, buy the Aston
Then I can save up and get a more modern Aston in the future if I get bored of the AMG
To be honest, the dealer sounded a little shady and haven't got a great rep hence getting Eurocharged to look it over - it's a long shot, but likely the car is a stter.

If you want outright speed then the DB9 is obviously the wrong car for you, the DB9 is completely different I would happily have the DB9 with the lower speed because the look and finish of the car make up for it. I just always wanted an SL65 and they are so rare that I don't want to miss out.
I can always get a DB9, plenty for sale. I think I would have always regretted passing up the SL if it is a good car.
Still waiting on the call back to see whether it's a good one or a lemon though.

The gorgeous looks of the DB9 are its selling point, the power of the SL its selling point.

I've had both DB9 and a C63 back to back and whilst the Merc was undoubtably quicker, the way the DB9 drives is much much more fulfilling. If anyone tells you a DB9 is slow they're talking out of their arse, in sport mode, using padldle shift, there really aren't that many cars to compare and certainly not at 30something grand.
But compared to a 700bhp SL65 it will be

Oh I know they're certainly not slow, 450bhp is respectable even by todays standards.
But compared to a 700bhp SL65 it will be
I had an SL63 for a short time. Once the tc was switched off it was overpowered for the chassis. I could not imagine that 1000lb/ft would result in useable power? Surely the slush box will get into a terrible state - I cannot imagine that an accounting driven firm like MB would over-engineer components like that? But compared to a 700bhp SL65 it will be
Wasn't there a tv show where they drove a brabus monstered sl65 and brabus had to tune down the torque or else it would lunch the gearbox?
They were hugely over engineered.
However, the 65 needed £5k of work so it's a no go, and the damn DB9 was sold this morning too
So now I'm 100% on the lookout for a DB9 - just a matter of time!

I'll take my time now and find the right car. Gives me something to look forward to!

Bob,I am shocked.
Notwithstanding Lotto's mangled usage of the english language I have always thought of you as the torchbearer of polite and gentlemanly behaviour.
That you should stoop to the level of our fellow contributor ,the aforesaid Tony, who often uses impolite phrases to admonish others causes me angst.
If however you have to quote Tony I believe he says Tossers and not wker.
As for Lotto,as I understand it,he is "nouveau riche" and not like you and me of worthy heritage so therefore should be forgiven the odd faux pas.
I really hope this is a joke (the nouveau riche comment). Notwithstanding Lotto's mangled usage of the english language I have always thought of you as the torchbearer of polite and gentlemanly behaviour.

Vinnie, under no circumstances take anything on here as being serious........especially from a select few. Banter is rife on here but can be a bit 'in-house'. Don't worry, you'll get used to it. Good luck with the search.
Ah good, just wanted to make sure Still no damn luck with the search though
