Hi All,

Great news is that I just picked up my first AML - a V12V ('10 plate). Super happy with it and very different from my C63.

Frustrating news is that when I got home I noticed that both front headlamp units have condensation build-up inside. Is this common on the Vantage? If its not, is there a Technical Bulletin I can reference with the garage? Any other thoughts and opinions would be greatly received.

Cheers, Andy

Thanks for your feedback. Did I few searches on Google last night and it doesn't seem to be a unique issue - so I feel a little better about it.

Here is my first pic...

I'm not quite up to speed on the spec options / names just yet ... but found this from the dealers sheet:

- B&O Stereo
- piano black facia
- lightweight seats

I believe the colour is <something> silver (other brands might call is gun metal)

I'll take some interior shots when is stops tipping down with rain.

On my way home tonight I really noticed the front lights were very poor at illuminating the road ahead. I was pretty sure they needed some serious adjustment. Until I got home and saw at least 50% of both front units were misted up.

I don't know enough about this lights to tell if the brightness of the bulbs will burn through the condensation without any issues - and its bad alignment - or I am severely impacted by this moisture.

Any thoughts ?

Car is booked in with the dealer to look at this. They immediately said they'd put in Gel packs. It will be interesting to see what difference this might make. Am thinking they'll need a lot of Gel to absorb what I am seeing.

Well, the Gel packs worked a treat. For about 2 months. Noticed a few weekends ago that condensation had returned. Car in with the garage now to looked at. Initially there was talk of warranty replacements of both headlights - but looks like thats been turned-down. So another "drying process" and more Gel-packs. grrrrr.

I really hope I don't have to do this every 2-3 months. God help me if that's the case. I'll be returning the car.
