Hi Jamie
I went from a V8V to a 2011 Virage and I could not be happier with it. As a first Aston the Vantage was amazing but I feel that the V12 takes it to another level.
I also moved from a manual to the flappy paddles. I'm not really sure why some people see that as a backward step as it is in effect a paddle operated manual with the advantage of the 'auto' D button. If you look at Grant's book you will see a very comprehensive list of all the upgrades that the Virage was given over the old DB9.
You will also notice that there are not many of them around so that adds a little exclusivity.
They really are a great car with good residual values.
