Michelin recently introduced the Pilot Sport 4S replacing the Pilot Super Sport. The reviews have been very positive and they seem to beat Bridgestones in virtually every measure.

My DB9 needs new tyres, but AMW state they still recommend Bridgestones as the "manufacturer's specification", and other tyres "could affect the handling of the car".

Has anyone put Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tyres on their Aston, and if so, how has it affected the handling of the car?

How do they compare with Bridgestones?

Not sure the difference could ever be noticed unless on a track? Also add into account the DB9 really doesn't handle at all anyway not sure it can make any difference?
According to Michelin, compared to Bridgestones, they stop better, grip better and last longer, so it appears to make a real difference, not least to safety..

Great review, thanks! Looks like the Michelins are winners.

I took the plunge and swapped the original Bridgestone tyres on my DB9 for a set of Michelin Pilot Sport 4S at STS Tyre Pros. They did a great job, took great care in jacking the car up, even cleaned the wheels as well, did 2 year wheel alignment/tracking, all for under £1,000. The Michelins are far better - a more comfortable ride, quieter, grip better, and even look better. I'm really surprised at the difference.

Is yours on 19" as that seems a very good price for 20" (which mine has).
Hi Ken

Yes, mine are 19" - I looked around and STS Tyre Pros matched the cheapest I could find on the net (which was Black Circles) when I rang them, so worth trying. And these Michelin Pilot Sport 4S are REALLY good. You can check if they're available for your Rapide on the www.michelin.co.uk site.
