Notchy clutch pedal

Evening all. I noticed while out on a drive today that pushing the clutch pedal on my 07 Vantage was not as smooth as usual. At first I thought my shoe was occasional catching on the clutch rest but on closer scrutiny it appears to be the movement of the pedal itself.

Any ideas? I should say that apart from the notchy feel he clutch is otherwise works fine and normally.

Thanks for that. Do you think that could cause what I can only describe as an occasional bump when pushing or releasing the clutch about a third of the way down?
