Is this the one they will only make 7 of them?

No this is track only AMR Pro Car.
.
The Vantage AMR is a limited edition road going version which celebrates the end of Vantage production and the beginning of AMR series cars which is equivalent to BMW M and Mercedes AMG. I believe they are officially announcing this coming Friday.

Should be a good car to buy if the GT is anything to go by?

Each dealer is being allocated 1 v12 and 2 v8s (initially at least)

Not sure how many dealers there are. But guessing there will be maybe just 20-25 v12s in the U.K.

US isnt getting the car.

If the GT8 is anything to go by you will see 2-3 for South Africa, Latam. Same again for Australia

Then the rest split between Europe, Asia, Middle-East (which is only getting the v12)

As a model variant the v12vs manual is already a very rare car. The AMR as a variant on that will be rarer again. Put the t this way, outside of Aston Martin meets I will be surprised to see another one on he road....
Do you think they justify £200k price tag or should I de-spec a little?

It's not really a call I can make for you! smile

If you plan on keeping for years then of course spec is how you want it to perfection.

If you think you're selling in 2 years then you might want to cut back a bit

Keep in mind (unlike with the GT8) that the Ti exhaust is dealer not factory fit. They sound great but you can order at a later date once you've checked out the stock sound. Of course a future buyer will no doubt favour a car with the Ti exhaust

If you've specced B&O you could save there. There's some theatre with the way the tweeters rise from the dashboard. But that's about it. My experience having had both that and premium is that's it's not worth paying for the former

I would definitely spec lightweight seats though
I hadn't speced the B&O ....main cost is coming from aero kit and wheels £20k, halo £6.5k, TE 11k.
IMO these need to be included to carry through the racing heritage and the tribute to Le Mans GTE Pro Class which is what the cars about. Just think 200k is top heavy, but that's just my opinion.
My 991 GT3 RS was £158k fully loaded which seems considerably better value in comparison!

I don't car what the cynics say, AMR winning GTE with the last ever outing of the current gen Vantage will not hurt the desirability of these cars.

Maybe a V8 coupe in Halo spec and Aero pack has just become the one to have!
Fantastic Race and Great win for AM!!

Are there any v8 coupe slots left in the U.K.?

Halo spec would be a great buy, and much more affordable than the v12
There were a few V8s available but I would think they will sell fast after today's result!

AM Cambridge had one available last week.

Not sure if it is posted previously... Is the aero kit factory fitted or dealer?

Also does the Amr wheels get substituted by the standard item or do they give you both?
Aero kit is dealer fit as are the wheels. This gets around the cost of homologation given the limited numbers produced. You may get something back for the original wheels from the dealer, although I doubt it will be anywhere near the 5k cost for the lightweight wheel.

There are always people on here looking to buy the lightweight wheels, you should get £2500-£3000 for a brand new set easily enough.
Is that £2500-£3000 for just the wheels?
Do you know if the £5k option for the AMR forged aluminium wheels comes with tyres or does the dealer refit from the original?
If the aero kit is fitted how much do you think I could sell the original parts for?
Also considering fitting the mesh grill, what would the original be worth?

That sounds lower than I was expecting, but I havn't actually asked yet.

For the avoidance of doubt, does that includes the painting of the sills to match the rest of your car?
I thought the sills were carbon fibre as part of the aero kit?

The sills are carbon fiber, but the area above the 'rib' is painted to match the body. I've had them on my car for a while now:

Hmm, I not sure they have taken that into consideration.
Your motor looks a Burster thumbup
Have you changed the bonnet and front splitter or did it come like that?

I've changed quite a bit on it. The bonnet is from the V12, but with AeroCatches for safety since the front latch is no longer there. The grille, front bumper beam, front bumper fascia, and side sills are all from the GT3 and GT4 race cars. Front splitter is from VCollection. Plus a host of other things.

Here's a better overview of what's been done to it so far:

Thanks!!

I'm still working on the project car pages and I'll be getting pretty in-depth to explain why I did what I did and how it affects things. About to meet up with a photographer to do a shoot of the grey car right now, though, so the pages will have to wait smile

Just had my V12 slot confirmed

Will spec the car tomorrow.

Do we all know that the extra £6k for the lightweight satin wheels are for the colour change only from gloss to satin. Everything else on the wheels are the same. I will not be going for the option

thoughts at moment are as follows:-

Stirling Green Halo
Titanium Exhaust
Full Aero
Alarm Upgrade
Tracker

Maybe a couple more but in my view this is a sensible package

Mark
AMR forged wheel is worth adding IMO and definitely the sports seats....be prepared for £190k +

With the aerokit and titanium exhaust as well as lightweight seat, interior options etc wouldn't it be more like £200k, especially with AMR wheels.
Yes £200k is more like it.....good value? Me thinks not!
