Dear experts or enthusiastic bods,

I have a chip on the interior door handle of my 2005 DB9.

Does anyone know how to get hold of some of the silver touch up paint?

Poor quality photo attached.

Thanks Pete,

But it's a light interior and the black wouldn't match very well.

Mako,

You star, I shall get looking, it's a shame Aston don't do an interior touch up kit.

So I've only just got round to getting this sorted.

My local paint suppliers say that they will need the door handle to match up the paint and that it will be a few weeks as they have a backlog. They say they will ignore the suppliers paint codes as they will match it themselves.

So it's door handle off time but I might wait until the winter.

Oh to have some interior touch up paint supplied by someone like Tony Hall or Astonbits.

Hi Sean,

Yeah, I'm still working out how I'm going to do this. I'll let you know when I find out. Maybe it's leave the whole car there while they colour match.

I found a different, readily available paint which can be used to good effect. It's Holts HGREYM04

I detailed the process in this thread.

I'd recommend removing the entire part which is chipped, rubbing down and re-spraying, it's a very easy job.

Thanks, looks like a job for the winter.
