Had a great drive up and over the Herefordshire and Malvern hills today when there was a light dusting of snow. I wondered how the V8V would cope on standard OEM Bridgestones (although with good tread depth still). Answer? OK - I went about it a bit more gingerly, but it was damn well brilliant! A memorable drive with the stunning white landscape at the peaks with an AM badge on the wheel before me. It just felt more like an adventure than if I did the journey in a family box.

Oh - and when I was at Stanbrook Abbey just outside Worcester for the event, I came out to find an equally black Vantage parked up - but packed with a V12. Credit to that owner!

I’m finding the Vantage to be such a magnificently useable machine. Why wouldn’t you use it all year round? It’s obviously designed to cope. And I also think it looks great (even if for only 24hrs) with grime all over it. Bit like a medal of honour. (Reminds me of a great Henry Catchpole review of the V12 Vantage Zagato in the Evo magazine years ago!).

So get you AM out over winter. It would be a great shame not to enjoy a different experience in these great cars.

Glad you enjoyed your drive in my locality, Nick.

Gingerly probably was an appropriate word, because there were a few snow showers yesterday, with decent sized flakes. The snow only settled briefly though.

Now I am shamed to admit, my V8 remained dry and warm, with dehumidifier and dust cover.
Nooooooooooo!!!! LOL!

I don’t blame you. When I bought the Vantage I imagined keeping it all dry and warm. But 4+(?) months of not driving it based on weather seems such a shame. Think of all those design engineers’ hard work winter testing when they first created it. You owe it to them wink
