I have to get new tires to replace to old Bridgestones on my 07 Vantage 4.3.

There would be the choice between 2 possible combinations of Michelins:

Pilot Sport 4 in 245/40 R19 front and 275/35 R19 rear (wider front, 8mm larger diameter) or
Pilot Sport 4S in 235/40 R19 front and 275/35 R19 rear (stock sizes)

Application would be spirited road use, no track.

Does anyone has a recommendation?

Ok, no doubt that the PS4S is a great tire...

What I wonder is whether there is any benefit taking the PS4 instead?

Like beiing better in the rain, as example, or lasting higher milage (ok, milage is low priority).
I'm not looking for the ultimate grip either, would prefer a tire with a nice controllable limit.
Also the PS4 received high praise in tests, for example won EVO's 2017 tire competition.

Thanks for the link.

So it looks the PS4s is slightly more performance oriented and the construction is somewhat more modern and may give better steering feel.

And, as the price of the PS4s is even slightly lower ...PS4s in stock size it will be.

I have the PS4s on my 07 V8V in stock 235/275 size.
The PS4s has a rather stiff structure.
I run 2.3 bar hot F&R.
