There is a legitimate reason.
There will always be people falling on hard times and being forced to sell (there but for the grace of god go I etc). So in that respect the seller has my genuine sympathies.

But my sympathy is somewhat mitigated by seeing a near £300k mark-up on a car that was presumably delivered to the customer in the last few weeks and where the car is now being sold through an independent rather than main dealer (and where those who wanted to buy one of these and keep it were denied the opportunity to do so).

I'll give the seller the benefit of the doubt on the car being specced in resale silver and assume it was his/her favourite colour and that he/she never intended to flip it from day 1 even in better circumstances smile

To be fair if there is a legitimate reason and someone has to sell no-one is going to give it back to the main dealer and lose £300k on a principle.

Would you?

Agree most things do point to it being a flip though.
This is going a bit off-topic. But i agree; it wouldn't be reasonable to expect the seller, particularly if they've fallen on hard times, to give up a massive premium, I doubt any of us would do anything different if the circumstances are those.

Just saying that my sympathy for their position is tempered a little by seeing that the can flip the car for an immediate profit that represents more money than most people in this country will ever dream of having

Well, i think all that's happened is that the cars arrived and now the buyer has realized it looks st in that colour and wants a Black one.

Sorry, it wasn’t my intention to begin a thread on the morals of the seller or otherwise (albeit it has diverted a bit on to that).

I thought forumites would be more interested in the car, the price (yikes) and how quickly it had been flipped on to the market

Back on topic, personally I’m not sure the Volante version of the Zagato works as well as the Coupe - losing the double bubble roof removes some of that essential Zag character. And then add in a fairly “standard” colour like silver and it really doesn’t do it for me. Will be very interesting to see how long it takes to sell

It looks a bit better I think in that black. But the hard top versions are still far more differentiated

The one at Romans has disappeared off their website. Do you think AML had a word?
