Well rumours of "is the new Flagship going to be a Vanquish or new DBS" seem to be squashed. Caught up with dealer today and deposit down on the 2018 DBS smile He told me a revealing/launch will be held in May at Gaydon and delivery will be late Q4 2018. Guess this also ties in well with the new bond film.

He couldn't confirm price but expected slightly higher than Vanquish S. Power wise he said not confirmed yet but will be either 715 or 725! Certainly looking forward to this! Will update if I hear anymore.

Yes I think we all knew a new flagship was due out but didn't know the designation with some saying DBS and some saying Vanquish. I might be wrong but I don't think there will be a DBS and a Vanquish just or the other. So we shouldn't expect a new Vanquish for a few years until DBS production is finished as DBS will sit as latest flagship? 700+ BHP will be something amazing though smile

No-one knows what they can say or can't. I don't even share speculation on here now as Gaydon were more worried about my speculation on the DBS mule I saw on the public road months back than actually finishing my car correctly.

Mark, as they've haven't officially launched the name, I wouldn't be surprised if you get whinged at.

I'm finding it harder and harder to be enthused by Aston as a company these days. Hopefully the cars deliver and I can see past it.
Hopefully not, they were pretty clear about not discussing the Vanquish S when I put my deposit down before it was announced and likewise with the Vanquish Ultimate. Nobody said anything about keeping quiet with the DBS and previously it was mentioned multiple times to keep it quiet so I'm not sure there is any secrecy here.

In relation to the name it follows that it would be a DBS and not a Vanquish brand given the previous DBS was succeeded by a Vanquish, unlikely for a Vanquish to succeeded by another Vanquish and not a DBS. BUT who knows! All I know is that I hope it is a cracking car smile
