Is this mess a common problem where the tailgate touches the load area cover?

Seems this issue is on all the late cars. Consensus is the jig for making the shelf is worn so its too short on the right side and misses the tailgate when closed and then flaps around causing the mess

A new one is on the way but the suspicion is it will be the same

UPDATE - The parcel shelf was incorrectly made, probably due to a worn jig. Now replaced under warranty and perfect

There are sure to be many more with the same issue

My final inspection was done by Joseph Rush, either done in a rush or he was Stevie Wonder's apprentice

Even after the ‘fix’ it still didn’t fit correctly so I sold the car
