Hi All

Recently sold my TVR after lots of work restoring and fun..
Pondered a replacement to fill the space in my heart and my garage smile

After considering a number of alternatives and looking at some extremely badly described motors, some involving 400 mile round trips, I went with a decision from the Heart (and Head) and acquired a virtually mint 2006 DB9 Volante with less that 8,000 from new.
She is Meteorite Silver and Falcon Grey leather and as the mileage would suggest in very good almost factory fresh condition.
I was after a 2007 with the various changes but couldn't find one to match this and decided condition was the higher priority. She is spec'd with parking sensors all round power-fold mirrors and Ipod connectivity Bluetooth. As an added bonus she has paint protection film on the sills rear quarters and rear bumper etc. I have just fitted the front mud-flaps (stone guards in Aston Parlance smile)
Looking forward to some fun but also just enjoy the sound and just looking at her too smile

Hope you like the picture will no doubt be back on asking some very obvious questions shortly !

Thanks everyone look forward to sharing the experience smile
A 911 was on the possible list at one stage too, but as with all these things the budget started to stretch and then it was no contest as the Aston drew me in smile that said i didnt think I was going to find the right car at one stage, some of these dealers should pay the petrol bill when they described them so badly. I saw one which was suppose to been immaculate having had a professional bonnet re-paint due to stone marks, and wheels recut it looked as though someone had done the front edge of the bonnet with a can when i viewed the car and the wheels had been repaired ...badly . When i quizzed them i got the “oh I’m not sure what the body shop did we havent had the invoice yet” rolleyesrolleyes

Certainly puts a smile on my face every time to press the start button or the loud pedal in a way nothing else does. driving
Roll on the weekend
Cheers
Glyn

I still have a very nice 1975 (tax free) Triumph Stag sat on the DB9's left so still have a choice. V8 or V12. The Stag might be old but she makes a lovely sound and is a lovely relaxed cruiser. smile

I loved my TVR but sadly Mrs C didn't which meant it often got left behind.

You never know if I get the space I might get another smile
