DB9 Launch from rest.
Discussion
My new to me DB9 Auto seems to be very fierce when moving from rest. The car starts fine and soon idled at 750 rpm but releasing the foot brake results in a dramatic surge forward ( without any throttle input ) almost uncontrollably. I have found the only way to advance safely appears to be by a light partial easing of the brake until on the open road.
I wondered if anyone else has experienced this or maybe “ they all do that sir”.
Comments much appreciated.

Thank you very much for the responses, seems like I have an issue then!
Appreciate the comment re transmission oil, that sounds like a real possibility. I have only just got the car and am told it has lots of service history but am still waiting for the dealer to provide this. Consequently, I am unable to see when, if ever the gearbox has seen any service action!
Probably be a good idea to change the oil anyway.
