This might be controversial and I may get slated... But, I'm thinking of wrapping my 2006 v8 vantage.

Has anybody got any photos of what they've done/suggestions of what would work well?

My car (pic below) is currently silver with red interior & I love it. With a private plate on you'd never know it was 14-15yrs old. But, I think a wrap would give it that extra 'something' to make it look newer & stand out a little more. Also, the wheels are heavily corroded & need doing anyway.

My current thinking is:

  • White body wrap
  • Black roof & mirrors (or would dark mirrors be too much, have them white?)
  • Black wheels
OR

  • White body wrap
  • Black carbon fibre roof & mirrors (or would dark mirrors be too much, have them white?)
  • Black wheels

Haha, I've definitely opened a can of worms here!! Thanks for the replies everyone, all very valid (especially the hooker heels comment :-D.

To answer some of the queries, I have no intention of selling the car, it's a long term keeper. Will likely buy a RRS once kids come along & that'll be the family car, with this being the weekend toy. I originally liked the silver as it's a bit more subtle & I was consulting for a living & often had to drive to client sites, I now don't have to drive to work though so figured screw it, I can stand out a bit if I want, although I am concerned about looking like 'that guy'!

I had my 2006 Vantage wrapped a few years ago. Got the alloys painted anthracite at the same time.
Looks beautiful!! Any pics at diff angles? I love that it doesn't look overtly 'wrapped', just a refreshed colour blend. Black roof looks great!

D*ckhead. Predictable response. I'm all for the original style, class and beauty of Aston Martin's craftmanship - that's why I dreamt of owning one, and ultimately realised that dream following a lot of hard graft. BUT, the simple fact is that my car is 14, nearly 15 years old and with modern techniques if I can give it a tasteful refresh then why not? Ultimately it's a stop gap until I work a little harder & can afford a newer model.

Nardo grey is a very interesting option, I am now infinitely more confused about what to do - but have a good debate on my hands! Going to get one of my designers to mock up a few options!

P.S. Keep me updated on the goat situ - I'd happily invest in a goat knitting business, did you see that farm that made £50k for goat Zoom calls during lockdown? Imagine what people would pay for a goat knitting tutorial!

Thought I'd drop in an update, as I took the plunge and went for it...

Now considering purchasing a RRS as my daily to ensure that this remains in good nick, as it's now like new tank

I love it, but appreciate the purists here will have their own opinions eek

Looks immaculate but have you not simply wrapped it black?! Thought if you were wrapping it to go a little off piste from a popular factory colour.

How much did the wrap set you back out of interest?
I didn't want to go too garish & cheapen/date it in any way, really just wanted to give it a refresh as the old girl is 14-15yrs old now.

It was £1,600 including the wheel refurb. He's just starting out on his own having worked for other wrapping companies for yers, so is doing some great deals. Prestige Styling in Newcastle.
