Just had an email from Mr Moers with invitation to see the v12 vantage :-)

Apparently v12 vantage is a final edition rather than a limited edition - albeit numbers are ……strictly limited ….

I thought that - then wondered if it’s the final … v12 vantage ?

Maybe the future is the hybrid that has just gone into the DBX for China and then full electric?

The points system sounds familiar to the one they claimed to use on vanquish zagato (but there will still plenty of flippers - remember the one sold by the finance company at BCA)- but if you buy and flip then presumably you could make the grade via the multiple purchases ?

I heard the price inc vat before extras was under £300k

Choosing a number at the outset, has in the past often been a vague attempt at guessing demand, so it will be interesting to see whether this model becomes a Limited Edition or a Special Edition. AML finally admitted that they were disappointed, that the new Vantage did not meet their sales expectations (PHers decided why), so perhaps they will take a cautious approach. The pre-announcement demand might help their decision.

My personal reason would have been more for the experience of a V12 2-seater sports car rather than performance. (The V8 can be easily tuned with software for +100HP etc for those that enjoy such things). The AM NA V12 would have been preferable of course!

However, I have no doubt this new swansong V12 Vantage - as a piece of automotive joy - will be excellent.

I think this summarises my view also - the price is definitely optimistic according to my wallet, but i am sure it will be an icon.

I too have decided not to go down the route, but hope some people in here do and can’t wait to hear the feedback - I am sure in the flesh with the revised body it will be good.

The timing is interesting - in that it coincides with the fact we must be days away from seeing a lot of the fire sale vantages coming to end of lease - is it pure coincidence or planned i wonder?

I wouldn't be surprised if they instead did a zagato v12 - more money again….

They have to satisfy the desire for v12’s as much as possible in my opinion - and they should!

IIRC, it was full leather or leather/alcantara with different colour splits.
