ya agree 100% that hopefully design elements carry into the refresh. But hard to say....

Agree its ridiculous sounding, but I think many designers/design directors at a similar corporate level are the same in that regard.

Wouldn't these types of models have huge margins? I can't imagine it actually cost AM 1.5M to make. Especially if they make 10-12 at that price.
