fuse 22..It's in the fuse box in the boot/trunk on the right side.

OK, I might be being really thick here, but I opened the box in the boot and it's just got a row of fuses - no diagram and no numbers beside the fuses. Which one is it?

thanks

The box holding the fuse is black, and the fuse numbers are embossed on this black plastic making it hard to read. Look very carefully (magnifying glass?) and you'll see the numbers are there. Ignore the numbers on the fuse as they identify the type of fuse and not it's number.

Aha. Since turning 40, my near distance eyesight has been waning...I'll have a third attempt today...thanks

G55DXB, thanks.

Well I finally found it, and the car sounds wonderful. It's *so* loud, I might have to put the fuse back in...I wish they had a switch on the dashboard for it.

What does 'fuse 22' do exactly?

The same as "uncorking the exhaust"...www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?t=238329&f=70&h=0

i.e. it makes the car loud all the time

[Wonder if its worth taking it to a specialist in vehicle interior re-trims/entertainment (Birds or such like?) and getting a very discrete switch fitted under the dash on the drivers side that effectively removes this fuse from the circuit? That shouldnt be that hard really (would just need a line breaker effectively?) and you could then have noise on demand as it were without the need to get your hands dirty.

Perhaps we could get a "group buy" going for it...
