Alarm/immobiliser not Thatcham approved?!?

Rang up the insurers to update the policy to the new address and seem to have run in to a spot of bother. Firstly, they want £700 more for me moving from the car being parked on the side of the road to it being in a garage, behind 15ft. security gates 2 miles from where I lived before. Well, they can stick that for a start!

Secondly, and quite worryingly, they claimed that the standard factory fit alarm/immobiliser isn't Thatcham approved, so the car's not insured period. Anybody any knowledge on this ('00 DB7 Vantage)
